BOOM!!!!

As introduced in my last post, my singer/songwriter dearest bestest friend in the whole widest world ToriTori has finally released her first solo project!!! *BOOM*

After releasing her single "Wow", ToriTori is extremely excited to debut her very first independent project "Boom". Her style of pop infused R&B, Hip Hop and dance creates a sound that is not only unique but authentically pure from the heart. With lyrics you can emotionally relate/connect to and beats that make you drop it like its hottness; you really can't go wrong. ^_^ WE.LOVE.THAT!

With all the technical difficulties and postponed dates the project is complete. Sometimes you gotta roll with the punches, not rush things and let it all fall into place on its own. #LessonLearned

Now, i'm no photographer but I think I did a pretty darn good job shooting Ms.Tori. Maybe I should pick that up as another hobby?! Hmmm..... (Jack of all trades over here! *wooot wooot* )

I'm not too great at editing photos so I let ToriTori take care of that aspect of the pics. Also, the girl styled herself and did her own makeup. Aint she fly?!

Although yesterday (Valentines Day) is perceived to be the day for the couples/lovers, I decided to spend my day with my bestfriend/sister/confidant/sidekick/Roommate/wife Latoria "ToriTori" Boyd.

I've known Tori for 4 long years and its crazy how if i'm ever seen without her it's as if i'm walking around without my right arm. Pretty much all of Boston knows us for being together 90% of the time. We sing together, dance together, live together and shop together. It's kinda scary now that I write about it.... lol

Being the salt&pepper duo that we are, we got all dolled up and wen't on a Valentines day journey...



Aren't we just adorable with the same hairstyle and all?! A mess.... lol

We got so caught up with watching Joan Rivers "Fashion Police" review on the Grammys red carpet ( and it took us a good hour to get dressed) that we missed our LongHorn date -_-

Not letting our procrastination defeat us, we decided to walk down Boylston until we found a spot for our Valentines date.

But good ol' BASHO never fails us.

BASHO is conveniently located up the block from our apartment, so it all worked out in the end. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, crazy roll (which I couldn't eat because i'm allergic to shellfish...ugghhh. Life.) and Smoked salmon fried rice. YUMM YUMMM YUMMMMMM!! So delicious.

The sushi didn't stand a chance and my chopstick scruggle is so apparent. lol.

All in all we enjoyed ourselves. Tormi is my ride or die and she's the bestest Valentine ever.

P.S We didn't exchange any chocolates because we believe in the CVS day after holiday candy sale, Oh yes we do.

*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT*

I, Therlande a.k.a T a.k.a. TLoui, am not a model.  (I know, crazy right? lol.)

I mean, when there's a camera in front of me and the stress of wanting to immulate Tyra Banks comes upon my spirit; awkward things happen. I'm talking weird angles, clawed fingers, hunched back... it's usually a mess.  ( ._.)

Once in a blue I am blessed to come across such great aspiring photographers who give great direction and leave me with a wonderful and comfortable experience.



My new good friend Faye Nightingale (Check her work, she's AMAZING --> FayeNightingale.com ) is a young aspiring photographer working on expanding her portfolio and networking around Boston (for now.) I love her spirit and her work is gorgeous. I mean this girl is truly a beast!! (Anyone that can take non awkward Gollum like pics of me must be gifted lol.)



Rarely do I ever wear tons of make-up but it was fun to reinvent myself and have an "editorial" type shoot. I really do admire Faye, Like I previously stated she really gave me a great experience. She had a look ready for me, studio, backdrop, wardrobe and all. So professional and friendly. Vibe was awesome. Loved it, Love her. <3



With each picture she tried something new. I had to get use to seeing myself in different lights and shades. Like this one, I kinda look green right? but I LOVE IT! I think it's soooo cool how she did that. I wonder if she can make me look like Beyonce? ...Hmmmm (maybe next shoot :D )

Are we human? or are we DANCER!?

As I stated in my previous post I am a dancer/choreographer. My story of dance doesn't have an age, big studio names nor does it have much professional studies; I'm just a dancer lol.




(Oct 17th) was the premier of my dance class "Get Liight Mondays" GOD knows i've needed to get back on my grind with dancing to hone my talent and teach what I know. This year i'm teaching alongside the amazing Carven Bernadeu ( Follow her on twitter --> @C_Promoo ). She agreed to be my cochoreographer and I really couldn't have asked for a better partner. THE DUO IS A PROBLEM!!!!



(There goes those arms.. sheeeeessshhh. They're just soooo cut... GOD..... ok i'm over it lol)


I know we've all heard the sad sob stories of not being able to afford dance and blah blah blah, well, that was actually my case.  I've always wanted to take more traditional courses but being the 5th child of 8 that was not even CLOSE to an option. That didn't stop me from finding ways to learn technique and now look at me, i'm teaching my own class!!

I've done a lot from performing, creative directing and choreographing shows since I was about 9yrs old. From elementary school talent shows to tribute shows at stadiums. (Crazy right?!??!!?)

It was great teaching again. The class responded well, The room was PACKED! I almost cried... I think a tear may have fell from my eye ball. lol
I just love to move. Any beat that drops I move to it lol I am not shy or bias to different genres and styles. I love music, love to dance and love to share the moment with others.

I had a crazy night last week and decided to throw my beautiful iPhone 3gs onto the concrete ground. Oh.. Yes I did...




T'was a bittersweet moment. I lost a good faithful cellular device BUT I gained a new best friend, Meet iPhone 4 \(^_^)/



(attempted to get the 4s but the wait was wayyyyy too long. Im cool with Mr.4 for now ;p )
